Under the leadership of Cai Bin, the Chinese women's volleyball team will face two important competition tasks in 2022: the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Women's Volleyball World Championships; next year, the Chinese women's volleyball team will play in the World Cup; and in 2024, it will usher in the Paris Olympic Games.
Since Lang Ping resigned on September 1 last year, the position of coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team has been vacant for more than 5 months.
On January 10 this year, the Chinese Volleyball Association issued an announcement on the selection of the head coach of the national women's volleyball team, requiring the candidates to "have rich coaching experience and better coaching results", and at the same time, "familiar with the situation of domestic women's volleyball athletes, with a clear team idea".
Although the competitive conditions are set low, the number of candidates who actually meet this condition is very limited.
Cai Bin was elected as the head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team and played more of the role of firefighting captain.

Since then, Cai Bin has returned to the local team to coach, and the Jiangsu women's volleyball team has become one of the most competitive teams in the domestic volleyball arena under his leadership, and many potential newcomers have emerged in the team.
This time to replace Lang Ping, Cai Bin wants to help the Chinese women's volleyball team return to the peak after the defeat of the Tokyo Olympic Games, which is not small.
At present, there are only about two and a half years until the 2024 Paris Olympics. At the same time, Zhu Ting, the number one attacker of the Chinese women's volleyball team, needs surgery, and another member of the senior general, Zhang Changning, is also recuperating from injuries, and the task facing Cai Bin after taking office is very heavy.
