The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus summoned Igor Kizim, the Ukrainian ambassador to Belarus, on the 3rd to express strong protest against Ukraine's dispatch of drones to Belarusian territory for illegal reconnaissance. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus said in a statement that, based on the analysis of data on airborne equipment, it has been determined that the drone was launched from the territory of Ukraine for the purpose of carrying out illegal reconnaissance activities at military training grounds in Belarus. These unfriendly moves are deliberately provoking an escalation of the regional situation and are not conducive to bilateral dialogue.
According to the information previously released by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Belarus and Russia will conduct joint military exercises "Alliance Determination-2022" at several military training grounds in Belarus from February 10 to 20. According to the Ministry of Defence of Belarus, the joint exercise was conducted in a context of deteriorating military and political situation in the world and tensions in the European region, including the western and southern borders of Belarus, in order to assess the rapid response capability of military command lines and forces to complete the task of ensuring the military security of the Allied Powers.
