"Love My Heart" is about the emotional self-awareness process of a 16-year-old girl, Jane, who meets Talyor, a girl who has changed her life at school. It may not be accurate to say that it will change her life, because Talyor's appearance is only a temptation for her to recognize herself, Jane fell in love with Talyor, and the scene of the two kissing was spied on by her brother who was in the rebellious period of adolescence, and pranked out, so the parents' questions followed. Like other parents, they attribute this "ridiculous" behavior to their child's curiosity.
After experiencing a series of psychological processes such as confusion, wandering, fear, worry, and self-denial, she came out to her parents in exchange for their anger and disappointment. Out of maternal nature, her mother began to "persuade" Jane, hoping to correct her "wrong behavior". Of course, the initial controls were stronger, with 24-hour guardianship and a ban on Jane from going out. But all of this crumbled under the rebellious mood of adolescence, and her parents even planned to send her to board school, but all this was due to the secret peak of Jane's homeroom teacher Ms Scotte.
Undoubtedly, the screenwriter added a seemingly insignificant to the whole story here, but it was actually a stroke of turning the tide, and it was precisely because Scotte tried to persuade Jane's parents in the face of the danger of being expelled from the school board and ruining his reputation, that he finally let Jane's parents calm down in anger and excitement, and tried to understand their daughter's inner world. At this point, the main line of the story seems to be changing, from the initial daughter's wandering and tangled emotions, changing course, and successfully transferring to the mother's emotional struggle, and the whole transition is not a little pretentious. From this point of view, the les complex is only an introduction in this film, and the focus of the plot is the process of emotional struggle between two people.
In the play, the editors have less polish for the father and brother, but it is undoubtedly indispensable, and the audience will even hate Jane's eyes of no one, self-righteous brother, and the relationship between the sisters and brothers is indifferent or even hostile. When Jane handed him the ice cream he had bought for his brother, "It's actually a prank, right?" This simple line melts the layer of solid ice that has previously condensed in the audience's heart, so that the entire character image is reversed, in fact, he is just a naughty child, all the impressions he left on the audience in front of him have been subverted, at the same time, it also implies that Jane's gradual growth, 16 years old may really be a watershed.
