Take a look at Zhenze Ancient Town
When I was invited to participate in the 10th Zhenze Tourism and Culture Festival, this Jiangnan town appeared in my itinerary for the first time. Open the mobile phone map, found that it is very close to Shanghai, indicating that the small city does not spend too much energy for publicity, it seems that commercialization is not heavy, such a place is often the most popular with me.
Located at the junction of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, Zhenze, with the same name as taihu Lake, is a famous town in Jiangnan with a history of more than 2,000 years and a famous silk town. The old streets, folk customs, etc. there have an excellent reputation, and with the enthusiasm of finding a Jiangnan feeling, I embarked on a journey.
Town day and night
Strolling along the stone paths of the ancient town, there is a taste of the small city in the city, there are craftsmen who do handicrafts, there are cooks who make traditional food, there are artists who sketch and paint... From the rooms along the street from time to time to hear a pleasant melody, lying on the window to see, that is the traditional suzhou music art - pingtan.
Standing on Pagoda Street, you can see the Ciyun Temple Pagoda through RenliFang, this pagoda is said to have been built in the Three Kingdoms Chiwu period, has a history of more than 1750 years, the appearance of the tower is a total of six sides, divided into five floors, composed of a cloister, a tower wall, and a tower center. Photographing the pagoda through the arch is an excellent photographic angle.
Shijian Hall is located in the western section of Pagoda Street, with brick carved gatehouses, courtyards, halls... They are all familiar Jiangnan old mansions, but perhaps because of the sparse population, Shi Jian Tang exudes a dignified and elegant temperament. This is the old house built by xu's ancestors in the third year of Qing Tongzhi, facing the river on three sides, the front door can be on the bridge, the back door can get off the boat, and the water and land are called convenient. The Shijian Hall displays furniture from the Qing Dynasty, and the box building through the inner house is a characteristic representative of Jiangnan residences.
If you are tired of shopping, you may wish to go to the four bowls of tea house for a rest, walk to the promenade of the store, and choose a seat facing the river, which is very elegant. The boss brought a plate of tea, a total of four bowls, and the "connotation" in the bowl was even more different. Originally, in the traditional customs of Zhenze, "four bowls of tea" is the preferred drink for Zhenze people to entertain distinguished guests or wedding banquets, and it is still a door-to-door ceremony for entertaining sons-in-law in the farmhouse. These four bowls of tea are water egg tea, wind tea, smoked bean tea and clear green tea, drinking methods are exquisite, the meaning is different, but also wait for you to zhenze taste to be able to taste it.
When the sun sets in the west, it is suitable for swimming on the shore of the water, watching the soft appearance of light and shadow, and watching the slanting sun stain the sky red. At this time, the town of Zhenze, cooking smoke, people end the day's work and rest, ready to go home to enjoy the warm time: the aunt wearing a blue printed cloth, carrying a basket of dishes, this is to prepare dinner for the family; the children are out of school, waving goodbye to friends and then running in the direction of home...
On the last boat, the boat swayed from side to side, with some moving rhythm in the rhythm, and from the sparkling water, I saw another look of the town. The people who hold the boat greet the acquaintances on both sides of the strait, and the smile is not bright, and the details of these lives and the simple folk customs need you to calm down and slowly understand.
The Sifan Bridge and Yuji Bridge in the ancient town are good places to take pictures of the sunset, or standing under the bridge and putting the bridge body and the silhouette of the Ciyun Temple Pagoda into the camera, the picture presents a rare quiet and beautiful.
In the ancient town at night, on the basis of quiet and elegance, there is more leisure, and most of the shops have long been closed. Familiar melodies echo from the hidden bars, notes that have gone through the years, flow into people's hearts: "Sometimes, sometimes, I believe that everything has an end..." In the dim light, it resonates. The lights on the banks of the river are everywhere, and the reflections on the surface of the water are interesting, unlike the illuminated ancient city, which is more of a quiet and leisurely atmosphere.
Silk is more intense
After watching the scenery of Zhenze, I have to mention the culture of Zhenze: the land of silk. Since the Tang Dynasty, the Zhenze people have begun to cultivate mulberry silkworms, such as the Zhenfeng Silk Reeling Factory with a century-old history, the first silk merchant joint-stock commercial bank in modern China - Jiangfeng Bank, which was built in 1921. At present, There are more than 200 silk industries in Zhenze, and more than 30% of the country's silk quilts come from here.
In the Taihu Lake Snow Silkworm Mulberry Cultural Center, you can appreciate the silk culture of Zhenze and experience the silk making process yourself. If you see your favorite silk scarf style, you may wish to bring one, which can be decorated to withstand the cold; and zhenze's most famous silk quilt brings warmth throughout the winter.
The Republic of China is gentle and windy
If you can live in the water, it is the most gratifying time to live in the ancient town. In Zhenze, there is a waterfront cold house, with the theme of the Republic of China style, it is also the first time to stay in the Republic of China Style Hotel.
The white walls and gray tiles are the taste of Suzhou; the dark brown furniture is the style of the Republic of China; the antique telephone and the traditional sofa decorate the nostalgic friendship.
Walk to the front yard, the four-walled wall, antique; into the backyard, mountain stones, ponds, a splash of ink landscape elegance. Along the paved path, a study is waiting with a unique temperament for the literati inker's big stroke.
Living here is comfortable, the room is spacious, quiet and elegant; living here is comfortable, through the ancient and modern, forget the worries; sitting in the courtyard to brew a pot of tea, listening to a Suzhou commentary, probably this is the petty bourgeois life of the Republic of China period.

This is a very good big restaurant, as the name of the store, the most distinctive of course is seafood, the rest of the dishes to Su Bang cuisine, very particular about meat and vegetarian collocation, basically each dish is half meat and half vegetarian, pay attention to nutrition collocation. Recommend the lamb chops, halal sea bass, duck sauce, large meat and turtle, which are braised but not greasy. The finale hairy crab, with its full crab yellow, won everyone's praise.
