More than 100 kilometers northwest of beijing's urban area, Haituo Mountain is undulating. For the villagers of Houheilongmiao Village in Zhangshanying Town, Yanqing District, down the mountain, this winter is particularly lively. Along with the strong flavor of the Spring Festival, strolling through the village, whether it is the hand-painted ice piers and snow melting paintings of the Mascot of the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games on the wall, or the paper cuts designed with the theme of the Winter Olympic competition projects on the windows, everywhere shows the impact of the Winter Olympics on the post-Black Dragon Temple Village.
Zhangshanying Town is home to the Yanqing Competition Area of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. North of Haituo Mountain, Yudu Mountain, south of wild duck lake, Guanting Reservoir, rich tourism resources, unique climatic conditions, so that here enjoy the reputation of "the first town in northwest Beijing". With the successful bid for the 2015 Beijing Winter Olympics, the town that entered the "Winter Olympic Time" drove onto the "fast track" of ice and snow sports, and began an unprecedented journey of butterfly change.
"When I heard that the Winter Olympics were on my doorstep, I was ready to come back and have a look." Zhang Haichao is a native of Houheilongmiao Village and the founder of a local boutique homestay chain. According to him, it is precisely because of seeing the east wind brought by the Winter Olympics that he originally did business in the city made up his mind to return to his hometown to start a business, and by renovating the old house at home, the first homestay courtyard was completed and opened.
From renovating his own old yard, to renting idle farmhouses of villagers, inviting villagers to fund and operate together, and then going out of Yanqing and going to all parts of the country, Zhang Haichao's homestay business is getting bigger and bigger, and there are more than 100 boutique guesthouses across the country.
It is not only Zhang Haichao who has benefited from the homestay industry. The reporter learned that at present, after the Development of Heilongmiao Village, a total of 20 small courtyards of homestays have been developed, and through the cooperative business model with villagers, villagers not only rent out the old houses to collect rent, but also achieve employment at the doorstep of their homes by serving as housekeepers, cleaners, repairmen, etc. in the homestay. "At present, there are 35 villagers working here, and each person can increase their income by 40,000 or 50,000 yuan per year." Zhang Haichao told reporters.
The homestay industry that emerged due to the Winter Olympics has continued to grow and develop, promoting rural revitalization and improving the living standards of the people. According to Zhang Haichao, the homestay he runs alone can take out 5% of the operating profits every year as a public fund for the construction of the village. At the same time, as more and more tourists come to travel and stay, it has also led to the development and transformation of the fruit and vegetable industry in the village, through the development of picking, green vegetables and fruits, so that the villagers' grapes, apples and other green agricultural products have embarked on the "high-end route" and become another way to increase income. In 2019, Houheilongmiao Village successfully took off the hat of a low-income village and was rated as a "beautiful village" in Beijing. In 2020, it will become a "national rural tourism key village".
Not only in the post-Black Dragon Temple Village, relying on the homestay industry to drive, the integration and development of the first and third industries, all 1285 peasant households in Zhangshanying Town bid farewell to "low-income households". From the end of 2016 to 2021, 15 villages such as Shuiyu, Dongmenying and Houheilong temple will be built into the city's "beautiful villages", accounting for about half of the villages in the town.
Since the preparation of the Winter Olympic Games, the infrastructure of Zhangshanying Town has been improved in an all-round way, bringing earth-shaking changes to the local people. In the Yanqing Hanquan Sports Park, which covers an area of 16,400 mu, the Caijia River meanders and flows, and the forest and sea of 10,000 mu cannot be seen; the sewage treatment plant (station) realizes the centralized treatment of most of the sewage in the village, which has changed the history of sewage pulling by cars for many years; green energy has brought clean gas and electricity to the people, and the history of burning coal and burning firewood is gone forever...
"The Winter Olympics changed the trajectory of my entire life." During the Spring Festival, Zhang Haichao's new supporting café began to open, and the villagers performed a show for the tourists who came... On the big stage of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, zhangshanying, a small town, will appear in front of the world with a new look.
