Fourteen years ago today (Feb. 1, 2008), the Lakers acquired Paul Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies on a trade.

In this trade, the Lakers sent Kwame Brown, Yavarris Kridanton, Aaron McGee, two first-round draft picks with Mark Gasol to sign, from the Grizzlies to Paul Gasol and the 2010 second-round pick.

Since then, the Lakers have taken Kobe Bryant and Gasol as the core, paired with important role players such as Odom, Bynum, Ariza, Fischer, etc., and reached the Finals that year (losing 2-4 to the Celtics) and won the championship for two consecutive years in 2009 and 2010.

Paul Gasol has played for the Grizzlies, Lakers, Bulls, Spurs and Bucks, averaging 17.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.6 blocks per game, and averaging 17.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.4 blocks per game during his time with the Lakers (7 seasons).
