Newcastle moved in seven men in this winter window, namely Trippier (15 million euros), Chris Wood (30 million euros), Guimarães (42.1 million euros), Taggart (on loan), Dan Byrne (15 million euros), Marty Longstaff (returning on loan) and Jack Turner (returning on loan), and on loan Freddy Woodman and Hendrick.

The deals cost the Magpies a total of €102.1 million, making them the most expensive team in the five major leagues in this winter window.
