According to TA, Phil Jones himself is reluctant to join Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
Bordeaux are interested in the 29-year-old and Jones has also attracted benfica's interest, but nothing has been done yet, with Jones training at Carrington today.
Jones had just returned from a knee injury that left him out of the game for 712 days. Earlier this month, he made a comeback in United's 1-0 defeat to Wolves and his performances suggest he can still play at the top level.
United are well-stocked at centre-back and under interim manager Rangnick, Jones competes for playing time with Maguire, Varane, Bailly and Lindelof. Bordeaux, meanwhile, had a difficult season, finishing 17th in the league, just one point above the relegation zone. However, former Arsenal captain Koscielny's future in Bordeaux is in doubt. The defender left London for Bordeaux in 2019, but earlier this month club president Gerald Lopez announced that Koscielny would be leaving during the transfer window.
