Then it is dipped in slurry, the wax mold surface is applied with the configured mud or poured with fine mud to form a mud shell, and then the refractory material is coated on the surface of the mud shell, and the casting is formed after roasting, until the wax mold melts and flows out, forming a cavity, and then pouring copper liquid into the cavity, and then solidifying to obtain the casting. Only at this time, what is obtained is still just a crude product, which needs to be continuously polished and polished, so that the bronze can emit a transparent luster from the inside out, and in the grinding process of the grinding wheel and sandpaper, the grasp of proportion and strength should be just right, otherwise a fine bronze ware may be destroyed.
At present, there is a copper casting handicraft exhibition room in the coppersmith village of Fanghan Town, and its owner Wang Chengde is the inheritor of the famous local copper casting skills, and the exhibition room was built by Wang Chengde with 70,000 yuan raised by himself. The indoor collection includes nearly 200 pieces of bronze casting fine works such as vajra bells and Buddha statues from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, as well as kong bell pestles, Buddha statues, knives, water purification bowls, oil lamps and printing plates created by Wang Chengde over the years, and the collection is quite rich.
