"At the beginning of this year, my mother and I were invited to Nanning, Guangxi to participate in the new product launch of Cal Danton, during which there was also a salon activity with the theme of Fengxiang clay sculpture, the promotion effect was very good, many people were very interested in clay sculpture, and many people in the industry also threw olive branches, and the future has a positive significance for the inheritance and promotion of our clay sculpture." Han Jianbin said.
Fengxiang clay sculpture draws on the ornaments from ancient stone carvings, New Year paintings, paper cuts and embroidery, and is exaggerated in shape and bright in color, which is deeply loved by people. Clay sculpture works are divided into five categories: hanging pieces, three-dimensional ornaments, standing human beings, mud toys, and folk customs, involving more than a thousand different colors and varieties. In addition to continuous innovation on the basis of inheriting traditional techniques, since 2016, Han Jianbin and his mother Hu Xiaohong have devoted themselves to the restoration of traditional clay sculptures, doing their best to protect and inherit Fengxiang clay sculptures, and they have successfully restored 86 clay sculptures so far.
