British women obsessed with gin 5 years collection of 450 bottles

Allison Strydom, a 56-year-old woman from Twickenham, west London, is keen to collect gin, and over the past 5 years, her collection of gin has filled the cabinets at home for £18,000, according to the British newspaper The Sun on January 29.

Ever since Allison went on a tour of the winery with friends, she's fallen in love with traditional gin. Her family now has a total of 450 bottles of gin, not only from various European countries, but also from Canadian, American, New Zealand, Australian, Japanese, Indian and Southeast Asian brands. Some companies would give Allison wine for free and ask her to comment on the blog.

Allison said: "I've been drinking gin since I can remember, and the gin boom a few years ago made it more and more interesting to me. My social life revolves around gin, and I love meeting and talking to winemakers and learning their stories. I realized that there was a very interesting meaning behind every bottle of wine. ”
