Irish media: Milan are chasing Ireland's 16-year-old Héfernan and may soon reach a deal

According to football-italia quoted the Irish Sun as saying that Milan are chasing Irish U17 captain Héfernan.

The 16-year-old defender is highly regarded in European football, having previously trained in Atalanta and Roma, as well as at Bayer Leverkusen. The Irish Sun said Héfernan had been negotiating with Milan for the past few days, things were going well and the deal could be struck soon.

Hefernan is currently in the first team of Cork City and has played 18 minutes in the Irish League in October, and he could become the second young Irish player to play in Italy after Zefi (joining Inter) and Abankova (who joined Udinese).
