Beijing, 28 Jan (Xinhua) -- Comrade Zhu Kang, former president of the Design Institute of the Ministry of Light Industry and secretary of the Party Committee (enjoying ministerial treatment), died in Beijing on December 31, 2021 at the age of 104 due to illness.
After the death of Comrade Zhu Kang, the relevant leading comrades of the central authorities expressed their condolences in different ways and expressed their condolences to his relatives.
Zhu Kang was born in July 1917 in Zhao County, Hebei Province. In August 1933, he joined the Communist Party of China and participated in revolutionary work. From 1933 to 1944, he successively served as the head of the children's regiment and a member of the party branch of Zhujiazhuang Village in Zhao County, the director of the Organization Department of the Zhao County Party Committee, the director of the Organization Department of the Shulu County Party Committee, the secretary of the Shubei County Cpc Committee, the director of the Organization Department of the Shenshu County Cpc Committee, and the secretary of the County Party Committee. From 1944 to 1949, he successively served as the director of the Urban Work Department, the minister of social affairs and the deputy secretary of the Eleventh Prefectural Committee of Jizhong Province. From 1949 to 1954, he served as deputy secretary of the Tianjin Prefectural Party Committee and director of the Public Security Department, director of the Tangshan Municipal Public Security Bureau, and vice mayor of Tangshan City. From 1954 to 1958, he served as deputy director of the Infrastructure Department and director of the Design Department of the Ministry of Light Industry, and director of the Design Department of the Food Industry Department. From 1958 to 1972, he was the president and party secretary of the Beijing Institute of Light Industry. From 1972 to 1983, he was the president of the design institute of the Ministry of Light Industry and the secretary of the party committee. He retired in December 1988.
Zhu Kang is a deputy to the Third National People's Congress and a member of the Fifth and Sixth National Committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
