According to Western media reports, Barca are interested in Dortmund right-back Meunier and hope to sign him before the winter window closes. Bild wrote a denial of the possibility of the transfer, arguing that Dort would not let anyone go.
German media believe that Barca is indeed interested in bringing in Meunier, mentioning that the Red and Blues wanted to sign him as early as 2020. However, as Dort found a replacement for Meunier in a short period of time, he would not be allowed to leave the team to join Barca.
Meunier has played 24 games for Dortmund this season, contributing two goals and five assists to the team, with a german turnaround price of €9 million, and the contract expires on June 30, 2024.
