The distinctive features of the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China that we adhere to and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics, promote the coordinated development of material, political, spiritual, social and ecological civilization, and create a new path of Chinese-style modernization and a new form of human civilization. This thesis shows that Chinese-style modernization adheres to the path of civilized development of production and development, affluent life, and good ecology, and is a modernization in which man and nature coexist in harmony. The modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature has made important contributions to the creation of a new form of human civilization and formed a series of distinctive characteristics.

(i)

The modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature has always adhered to the concept of ecology for the people, ecological benefit for the people, and ecological benefit for the people, and regards the creation of a good ecological environment as the most inclusive people's livelihood and well-being, and constantly meets the people's growing needs for a beautiful ecological environment. This follows both the Marxist logic of productive forces and the value logic of the supremacy of the people. On the one hand, we should give full play to the main position of the people in the construction of ecological civilization, respect the initiative of the people, and mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of the people. The modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature is the common cause of all the people, a good ecological environment is the common wealth of all the people, and the people are not only the protectors and builders of the ecological environment, but also the creators of ecological civilization. On the other hand, adhere to the people's judgment as the basis for testing the effectiveness of ecological civilization construction, and continuously enhance the people's sense of gain, happiness and security. The problem is the voice of the times, and the human heart is the biggest politics. Whether the construction of ecological civilization can achieve practical results ultimately depends on whether more high-quality ecological products can be truly provided, whether the people's growing needs for a beautiful ecological environment can be truly met, and whether the people's living environment can be truly improved. The party and the government have focused on solving the outstanding environmental problems affecting the production and life of the people, put forward specific measures such as promoting green development, increasing the protection of the ecological system, and reforming the ecological environment supervision system, allocating resources and energy more rationally, so that the whole society can continuously improve the utilization efficiency of resources and energy, continue to reduce the total amount of major pollutant emissions, continuously improve the quality and stability of the ecosystem, continuously improve the quality of the environment, make the urban and rural environment more livable, make the people's lives better, and effectively achieve and maintain it well. We should properly develop the fundamental interests of the masses of the people.

The modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature has always adhered to the concept of a community of life, emphasizing that human beings must respect nature, conform to nature, and protect nature. All things are of the same origin and harmonious symbiosis. On the one hand, as a community of life that coexists and prospers, a close and mutually beneficial and inseparable relationship has been formed between man and nature. The understanding of the community of life embodies the organic overall world view and life concept of co-adaptation, beauty and coexistence. Man is born of nature, and man and nature are both prosperous and damaged. Symbiosis and co-prosperity between man and nature is a good interactive state of mutual benefit and symbiosis and co-evolutionary development between man and nature. On the other hand, the development of nature and human development affect and restrict each other, and any transformation of nature by man will directly or indirectly affect human beings. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that man and nature are interdependent and interrelated as a whole, and the natural world cannot only talk about taking and not talking about input, only talking about utilization and not about construction. On the basis of respecting the laws of nature, the rational use and transformation of nature will surely achieve the sustainable development of man and nature; on the contrary, if the laws of nature are violated, the harm of human beings to nature will eventually hurt themselves. We emphasize the establishment of ecological values of respecting nature, conforming to nature and protecting nature, and also emphasize the promotion and enhancement of people's moral realm and behavior consciousness in protecting nature and maintaining ecological balance.

Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's ecological civilization construction has achieved remarkable results, and a series of new concepts and new requirements have pointed out the direction of progress and fundamental compliance for improving ecological civilization and building a beautiful China. The Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China regards adhering to the harmonious coexistence of man and nature as an important part of the basic strategy of upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The Fourth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed to adhere to and improve the system of ecological civilization and promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China emphasized the promotion of green development and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. This not only points out the direction for promoting the construction of ecological civilization to achieve new progress, promotes the construction of ecological civilization to achieve a historic leap and a qualitative leap, but also clarifies the path for the construction of modernization in which man and nature coexist in harmony.

The modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature has always adhered to the unity of economic and ecological benefits, and truly embarked on a path of civilized development with production and development, rich life and good ecology. Building an ecological civilization is a millennium plan for the sustainable development of the Chinese nation. In the final analysis, the success or failure of ecological environmental protection depends on the economic structure and economic development mode, economic development should not be the exhaustion of resources and ecological environment, and the protection of the ecological environment should not be to abandon the edge of economic development for fish, but to adhere to the protection in development, development in protection, and achieve economic and social development and population, resources, and environment coordination. Correctly handle the relationship between economic development and ecological environmental protection, always adhere to the unity of economic benefits and ecological benefits, firmly establish the concept that protecting the ecological environment is to protect the productive forces, and improving the ecological environment is to develop the productive forces, more consciously promote green development, circular development, and low-carbon development, and never sacrifice the environment for temporary economic growth, so that a good ecological environment becomes the growth point of the improvement of people's lives and the support point of economic and social development. Practice has fully proved that the relationship between social economy and ecological environment has never been an irreconcilable antagonistic relationship. Green water and green mountains are the profound connotation of Jinshan Yinshan, which points out the closeness of the ecological environment and economic development. Improve the ecological environment, so that nature to restore its vitality, driven by the virtuous circle system of the ecosystem, resources can be rationally allocated and fully recycled, ecological value will be transformed into the source and power to promote the development of productive forces. At the same time, we will accelerate the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure and transform into a green and low-carbon economic development model. Only the coordinated transformation of economy and ecology can fundamentally solve the problem of ecological environment, truly establish the transformation of advantages from economy to ecology, better implement the new development concept, build a new development pattern, and promote high-quality development.

In the face of a series of global environmental problems such as global warming, serious ecological damage and biodiversity loss, the world needs to join hands to deal with them.
