Mercedes-Benz and Huineng Technology cooperate to develop the next generation of electric vehicle solid-state batteries

On January 27, Mercedes-Benz and ProLogium signed a technical cooperation agreement on the development of next-generation solid-state batteries. The first co-developed solid-state battery is expected to be launched in the next few years, and solid-state battery technology will be assembled into passenger cars within the next five years.

Under the agreement, Mercedes-Benz will have a seat on the board of Directors of ProLogium, and Mercedes-Benz's investment will be used for the technological development of solid-state batteries and ProLogium's plans to build a factory in Europe. Previous public information showed that Mercedes-Benz will achieve full electrification in 2030.
