In fact, although plug-in hybrid sounds very technological and complex, the principle is simple, nothing more than a combination of electric motors, fuel engines, and batteries. The first scheme is a more mainstream form of plug-in mixing in the past few years, the front of the car has an engine to drive the front wheels through the traditional gearbox, and the motor is configured to directly drive the rear wheels in the rear of the car; the advantages of this scheme, first of all, the technology is very simple, to put it bluntly, it is only a combination of adding a set of electric motors and batteries on the basis of traditional fuel vehicles, which is basically no technical difficulty for most mature automobile manufacturers; and the existing mature models, as long as the body is not too small, are theoretically easy to upgrade and transform into a plug-in hybrid version;
The second advantage, because the engine front drive, the motor rear drive, the two power does not affect each other interference, so the total output power can be seen as the two directly added, therefore, the power and acceleration of this car are very fierce, and naturally four-wheel drive, a more typical example, is BYD's original DM hybrid technology, as a mid-priced domestic car that was not high in configuration at that time and the displacement is not large, dare to claim 4.2 seconds of 100 km acceleration;
Of course, the shortcomings of this scheme are also obvious: First, due to the complete power structure of the traditional car, and the increase in the motor, the remaining space is not large, can not install a large battery, generally stuffed with a battery of about 10 degrees, pure electric endurance of almost 50 kilometers, and therefore, it is destined to be more auxiliary, the daily is still based on the engine, so it still needs a relatively excellent, sufficient power fuel engine and reliable transmission, the cost can not come down;
Second, the two sets of power go their own way, the complementary role is limited, so the fuel saving effect is general, and even the fuel loss when individual immature products are not charged is higher than that of fuel vehicles; and if the manufacturer is not well adjusted, the car in the state of electricity and no electricity, the driving experience difference will be particularly obvious, this sense of separation will make people very uncomfortable.
This kind of plug-and-mix solution, in addition to BYD's DM series, European brands use more, such as Volkswagen and Volvo; then this type of plug-and-mix model, suitable for what group of people? First, you have high requirements for power and acceleration; second, you don't particularly care about fuel-saving performance and pure battery life; of course, third, your budget is sufficient.
Recommended models, Volvo T8 series, such as my own XC60 T8, the original factory has 5 seconds of acceleration, that is, no charging, the maximum power of the fuel engine is more than 300 horses; and from my own experience of using two years, it has two points of good, one is that the oil-electric system is well matched, the power switching is very smooth; the second is that the fuel saving effect is better than I think, I occasionally charge, mainly with oil, the current fuel consumption is less than 7 liters, if not charged at all, it is estimated that the actual fuel consumption is more than 8 liters This car you can not compare with ordinary family cars, its direct opponent is Mercedes-Benz GLC43, Porsche Macan S and other 3.0T performance SUVs, at least save nearly half of the fuel;
In view of the shortcomings of the first scheme just mentioned, the car manufacturers thought of the second scheme, they changed the electric motor to the front of the car, and the engine through a set of dedicated ECVT transmission mechanism to drive the front wheel, this set of technology is more complex, especially the E-CVT transmission, the technical content is quite high.
However, whether it is electric or oily, the sense of separation in the driving experience is gone, it will be much more comfortable and smooth; and because of the effective blending of ECVT, it will also be very fuel-efficient;
But it also has two problems, first, because all the power is transmitted through the ECVT, so its total output power is not the superposition of the two forces, but the limit of the ECVT transmission system, so the actual acceleration performance of this car is relatively mediocre;
Second, the realization of four-wheel drive is more troublesome, to add another motor in the rear wheel; of course, these are not only its shortcomings, because due to the limitations of ECVT transmission, it does not need the same displacement engine and high-power motor as the fuel car, nor does it need a complex traditional transmission, that is, it saves costs, lowers the price of the car, and also saves space, which can match it with a larger battery, so as to have a higher pure electric endurance;
This plug-in solution, the Japanese brand that cares most about fuel economy likes to use, typical is the plug-in version of Toyota Dual Engine and Honda immd hybrid; in addition, there are more and more manufacturers in the continuous addition, such as BYD last year's very hot DM-i super hybrid series, it has been able to achieve more than 100 kilometers of pure electric endurance, less than 5 liters of fuel consumption, and similar prices to fuel vehicles; then this plug-in hybrid program is obviously very suitable for the daily home of ordinary families From the perspective of price and support for domestic brands, I recommend BYD, Qin PLUS and Song PLUS's DM-i version are good options.
To the last type of scenario. Although range extenders always like to advertise that they are "electric vehicles", in essence, it is a kind of plug-in, including when it is on the domestic card, it also enjoys the same policy as the plug-in, and other plug-ins are also on the green card beginning with the "F" letter;
Although the increase in the range of the model this year is very topical, the publicity is also very high, but in fact, it is indeed a relatively old and relatively simple plug-in mixing technology, in the new energy vehicle just appeared N years ago, when the battery capacity is small, the electronic control technology is also backward, whether it is electric vehicles or standard hybrid vehicles are not easy to use, so it invented the extender, it is the same as the tram, purely driven by the motor, but in order to make up for the lack of battery life, and added a fuel engine that is simply used to generate electricity, you can charge while using electricity; it is conceivable that There are several birth defects in this way, first, oil to electricity, and then electrical rotation energy, which is less efficient and more lossy than direct fuel drive; second, the speed of charging is definitely not as fast as the power consumption, so if the remaining power is not much, the car can only jog slowly;
Of course, there are advantages: First of all, because it is only power generation, you can find an old engine with a small displacement, saving money and technology;
Second, it does not require a traditional transmission, nor does it use an ECVT gearbox, saving money and technology +1;
Third, because the structure is simple, you can put a larger motor, you can also make room for a larger battery, so the two ordinary people who pay attention to the book data of acceleration and endurance are better looking; also because of these advantages, some of the new forces that lack car-making technology accumulation and experience, hoping to take shortcuts will favor it; the currently famous is also three, the ideal one, Huawei Q&A M5 and Lantu, are all troubled by the topic of the car.
For the extender, whether online or in the industry, many people are spraying, and I have criticized it. However, I think that whether the technology is old or the structure is simple, this can not be regarded as a disadvantage, its current problem is that since the increase in size cost is lower, the technology is simple, it should not be more expensive than other plug-in models, and even fuel vehicles! However, the current range extenders are not cheap, 350,000 + ideal one, about 300,000 questioning M5, or 313,600 starting Lantu, I think some of the prices are inflated. So at this stage, I don't recommend buying. Of course, if you just like extenders, you have to choose one of the three. After all, it is indeed very in line with the needs of dads to buy a car, if its price can be more reasonable, or can replace the outdated and crotch-pulling Dongan 1.2T three-cylinder engine, then it is still worth considering.
