Everybody: Garvey is waiting to renew his contract with Barca, and the two sides will arrange a meeting in February

According to Spain's Daily Sport newspaper, Garvey is currently waiting to negotiate his new contract with the club, and his agent De La Pena and Barca sports director Alemani reached an agreement in December to let the club give priority to solving very pressing issues before negotiating a contract extension.

With the winter transfer window approaching, the next thing for both sides to do is to start contract renewal negotiations, and for now Garvey and the club are calm, but Barca have other priorities before the transfer market closes.

The two sides will schedule a meeting in February to lay the groundwork for the expected contract renewal.
