Oliver Hermanus is one of the new talents in French art films, winning the Gay Palme d'Or at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2011 for "Beautiful", and also won a kind of attention award that year. Endless Rivers is his first competition for the Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival. The film follows a young waiter who eagerly welcomes her husband back to his home in a small South African town, where she has spent the past four years in prison. Although everything went calm, a murder brought her husband back into the darkness. The male protagonist of the film is the French god Nicolas Douvochelle, born in 1980, who became a highly acclaimed model in his early years with his handsome appearance and rebellious temperament, and in 2004 he was nominated for the César Award for Best Newcomer Actor for "The Soft Skin of Cannes", and other masterpieces include "April Love" and "Beautiful Engagement". Duvochel is expected to compete for best actor in Venice this year with the film.
