In the earliest episodes of Star Wars, the rebellion of the Rebels and other rebel groups was arguably the greatest threat to the Galactic Empire. But until Death Star One was destroyed by the Rebels at the Battle of Yavin, the Empire always considered the Rebels to be a minor problem.

However, the defeat at the Battle of Yavin infuriated the Empire's top brass, completely redefined the Empire's view of the rebels, and began tracking the rebels throughout the Empire. Black Lord Darth Vader hated the rebels as much as the Empire.

But in the 12th issue of the Marvel comic Book Star Wars: Darth Vader, we see that Vader's hatred seems to be mixed with other elements outside the Empire's plans, and Han Solo seems to attract his attention even more, interestingly, that in the future, Solo will marry Vida's daughter, Princess Leia.

After the Death Star is destroyed, Vader goes after the Millennium Falcon, who assists Luke, and learns about Han Solo. Targeting Solo, he sends bounty hunters to track him down, while also ensuring that Solo can accompany Luke to Besping in order to realize the illusion he sees, where He lures Luke into the Dark Side.

However, Vader was shocked by Bespin Luke's refusal to die, believing that it was the presence of his friends that enabled Luke to stick to the Bright Side of the Force.

Lord Sith Black knew that Luke had grown up under the gaze of Obi-Wan Kenobi. When Vader first met his son, Luke landed on the Death Star with Han, Chewbacca, and Obi-Wan to rescue Leia.
