Prose: The poetry of the summer solstice in northern Saibei

(Author Yang Lantian)

The summer solstice, said to come, came quietly, Saibei, a little surprised. After all, the apricot blossoms fly, the pear blossoms fall, the fragrance of the cloves has not disappeared, and the summer solstice carries the fragrance of lotus leaves and the drizzle of the rain. Saibei really has the appearance of Summer.

The summer solstice in the north of Saibei is not as yellow as the plums in Jiangnan, the melons and fruits are fragrant, the lavender wind is blowing, and the cicadas are noisy. But the fields are paved with new greenery, wildflowers are blooming, birdsong are singing in the mountains and green valleys, and lotus leaves are full of ponds. "The green reed still contains powder, and the round lotus begins to scatter the fang" (Tang · Wei Yingwu). The summer solstice in the north of Saibei is the most pleasant season in summer, although the sunshine is long, it is not hot, and the warmth is slightly cool, especially after the rain, which is particularly refreshing. Parks, squares, pavilions, and shades of trees have become places where people gather. Or plucking the strings and singing, or the Chu River Han dynasty fighting, or the ten fingers intertwined, or the tong soo playing.

I like to choose a light and breezy morning, sit in the corner of the White Jade Curve Bridge of the Lotus Pond of Founder Lake, and watch quietly. Look at the lotus leaves of different heights and sizes, swaying slowly in the light wind, like a girl gently swinging a green dress. It was like a small emerald green umbrella dancing in the wind. More like emerald jade plates, floating on the water, the crystal dew inside, like pearls gently rolling, under the sun, from time to time flashed colorful light. I prefer to look at the small lotus that has just drilled out of the water, some hidden under the lotus leaf, some standing out between the lotus leaves, the pink first appears, not yet bright, giving people a hazy beauty, just like the shy and red cheeks of the girl who first opened the love sinus. Just watch quietly, watching the large and small koi, traveling and roaming under the lotus leaves. Watch the little frog jump up and down among the lotus leaves, watch the purple swallow chase and fly in between, watch the sunlight dye the lotus pond...

Although the climate of the summer solstice in northern Saibei is not like the Jiangnan proverb that "the summer solstice is shaken by the east wind, and the wheat is fished in the water", but the rain is going to fall, "the blue sky is thundering with golden gongs, and the cold rain is like money pouring in the face" (Xu Shuxin", which describes the characteristics of summer rain, that is, it comes quickly, goes fast, the scope is small, "summer rain is separated from the field". The Tang Dynasty poet Liu Yuxi cleverly borrowed the weather during the summer solstice to write a famous poem that "the sun rises in the east and the rains in the west, and the road is clear but sunny", which also appropriately shows the climatic characteristics of the northern summer solstice.

The summer solstice is the longest day of the year and the shortest night. The day is long and sad, the night is short and sad, as soon as the summer solstice passes, the day and night begin to reverse, which is in response to the folk proverb "Eat the summer solstice noodles, a day is short and a line". In fact, the rotation of the sun and the moon, the exchange of winter and summer, is the unchangeable law of nature, "peace with the sun and the moon", the joy of the four seasons. Twenty-four solar terms, each with a wonderful life.

The summer solstice in saibei announces that the real summer has arrived, and a hundred flowers are in full bloom, thousands of purples and thousands of reds, green shade umbrella covers, and green and verdant days have poured into us.

The summer solstice in the north of Saibei is becoming more and more poetic!
