Alerts! The New York City Police Department sent an additional 500 officers to conduct subway patrols

CNN has just announced that the New York City Police Department has dispatched 500 additional police officers to patrol the New York subway system. Previously, in less than 24 hours, there were 4 stabbing incidents on the system, resulting in 2 deaths.

New York City Police Commissioner DeMot Shay said at a news conference on the afternoon of Feb. 13 local time that the decision was made after four separate attacks in which victims were "stabbed by sharp objects."

Shay said all four attacks took place on Metro Line A, a subway line between northern Manhattan and Queens.

In addition to the 2 deaths, two other victims are recovering, according to the report. According to relevant sources, the 4 victims were all homeless, and the attacks seemed to be for no reason.
