Known as the "Milestone of Chinese Dance Drama", the dance drama "Silk Road Flower Rain" was created by the Gansu Provincial Song and Dance Theater with the world-famous Dunhuang murals and the Silk Road as the theme, and with a unique artistic style, the magnificent and colorful Dunhuang murals were put on the stage, vividly reproducing the breadth and depth of Dunhuang culture, praising the glorious artistic image of the working people creating Dunhuang culture, and praising the moving story of friendly exchanges between the people of all ethnic groups in China and abroad on the ancient Silk Road. Since its introduction to the stage in 1979, the play has traveled to more than 40 countries and regions, with a total of 3970 performances and an audience of more than 5 million people.
In the evening, the applause in the Gansu Grand Theater was thunderous, and the actors sang the friendship praises of the Silk Road with exquisite performances, and also launched a "living Dunhuang mural", which was extracted from the Dunhuang painted sculptures and murals such as "Thousand Hands Guanyin" and "Rebound Pipa", as well as wonderful Dunhuang dance sections such as the Lotus Boy Dance and the Neon Dress Feather Dance, especially the Storyline of Dunhuang Painter Shenbi Zhang and daughter Yingniang and Persian merchants who suffered together, ups and downs, and gripping, all of which held the attention of the audience. When the flowers and rains on the stage fall from the sky, the beautiful stage presentation makes the audience even more intoxicated. "Because of the epidemic, I didn't go out on National Day this year, and watching the dance drama "Silk Road Flower Rain" made me feel that this holiday was particularly fulfilling."
