Thanks to the success of Detroit: Becoming Human, Quantic Dream finally achieved full independence and autonomous distribution

Quantic Dream's official announcement that the company is now fully independent fulfills the studio's long-standing ambitions and opens up entirely new opportunities.

Ceo and Director David Cage and Co-CEO and Publishing Director Guillaume de Fondaumière review quantic Dream's achievements since its founding in 1997, writing:

There's no mention of all the extraordinary artists and creators we've had the privilege of working with, but every time of our 23-year journey has been a unique moment, each one a special collaboration.

But even by that standard, the past two years have been a resounding success: the success of Detroit: Becoming Human; the growth of an incredible global community of players; and the launch of our game on PC. And that's just part of our highlight moment.

Thanks to Detroit: Becoming Human, we've been able to realize the vision we've cherished since our inception.

The company can now publish future games on its own. This will allow Quantic Dream to take full advantage of "the technology and strategic opportunities of next-generation platforms," which could be difficult to achieve if it remains under the rules of other publishers. The studio reiterated its claim to be a "boutique publisher" that it will provide "investment and development support" to other developers to create new and original game experiences. The article also reads:

Quantic Dream won't always be just a regular studio. We want to stay passionate, firmly believe that making games can't repeat themselves, and constantly move towards new landscapes. We believe that interactivity can be an artistic expression, that we will remain passionate and sincere with our players, and that the values of humanism, solidarity and inclusivity that we have advocated in our games over the past 23 years are even more important today.
