On September 19, in the Galaxy Park in Guangzhou, 89-year-old Ling Rucai was cremated, and when his family sorted out his ashes, he found nine black-brown iron blocks and iron particles of different sizes and embedded in the bones of his right leg and left hand, the largest of which was 1 square centimeter. Ling Rucai's family said that these iron blocks are fragments of American-made grenades, which are witnesses to his father's courageous act on New Year's Day in 1952 to assist the police in catching secret agents, and they want to donate these shrapnel pieces to the collection of the Guangdong Revolutionary History Museum.
Ling Rucai was one of the witnesses of the anti-special story of the Yonghan Cinema in the famous "Yangcheng Dark Sentinel": on the evening of January 1, 1952, Ling Rucai, who was working at the Brick and Tile Association of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, reported to the police station that there was hostility at No. 60 Wenming Road, and a person in military uniform was in a suspicious form. Soon, Huang Liu, deputy platoon commander of the people's police squadron of the Yonghan North Police Station (now beijing street police station), arrived, and during the interrogation, the three people wrestled together, and the suspicious figure pulled a grenade made in the United States, his thigh was blown up, and he was killed on the spot, and Huang Liu and Ling Rucai were sent to the hospital for rescue. Ling Rucai was also classified as a fourth-degree disability.
The detonator of the grenade was identified as a spy who was preparing to sabotage the City's Ichinomiya New Year's Day party. Ling Rucai, who survived, remembers the hero Huang Liu who was born into death every year, and will go to the Guangzhou Galaxy Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery during the Qingming Dynasty to send a bouquet of flowers to Huang Liu. In 1997, Ling Rucai submitted a proposal to the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress on legislation for the sake of seeing righteousness and courage, which attracted attention.
