As the landmark building of the expansion project of Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, the Sightseeing Watchtower, the whole tower is 69.8 meters high and has a total of 9 floors, presenting multiple spaces such as a dynamic stage, panda theater, art gallery, creative book house, bamboo leaf tea room, adventure time and space, and viewing platform. The tower is full of steel structures and glass curtain walls, the shape of the tower is mushrooming, and the floor space is guided by hibiscus flowers, and visitors seem to be in the midst of a grand scene of flowers.
As the key external window of Sichuan Province's "39th National Congress", the expanded giant panda breeding research base will integrate scientific research and breeding, science education, cultural and creative creativity, and tourism and vacation.

According to reports, the overall project is divided into two phases of construction, the first phase of the project entered the construction site in December 2019, and the second phase of the project entered the construction site in June 2020, expanding from the original 1035 mu to 3570 mu. As one of the 78 bridges in the Ring City Ecological Park, the project has a total length of 1.295 kilometers, and at the same time spans the Chengdu-Kunming Railway Line, the Yuanhua Depot and the Ring Expressway, connecting Jincheng Lake and the American Fashion Sports Park, and is the key node for the 100-kilometer first-class greenway of the whole ring, and will soon achieve full line penetration.
