Adjustments – Some of The Asian Athletics Competitions for 2022

In view of the current epidemic situation, the Asian Athletics Federation has adjusted the dates of some of the 2022 athletics competitions.

(1) The 10th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, originally scheduled to be held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, in mid-February, has been postponed to February 2023.

(2) The 4th Asian Junior U18 Athletics Championships, originally scheduled to be held in Kuwait in early March, has been postponed to October 2022.

(3) The 16th Asian Trail Running Championships, originally scheduled for March 12 in Kathmandu, Nepal, has been postponed to October or November 2022 (to be determined).

(4) The 20th Asian Junior U20 Athletics Championships, originally scheduled to be held in Liquan County, South Korea, in June, has been postponed to 2023.

(5) The Asian 20 km Race Walking Championships, which were scheduled to be held in Nomamet, Japan, on March 20, will be cancelled.

In addition, according to the plan, the Asian Throwing Championship will be held in Mokpo, South Korea, in September this year, and the Asian Championships of the Half Marathon will be held in Thailand in October or November.

The World Para Track and Field Championships, which were scheduled to be held in Kobe, Japan, from August 26 to September 4, will also be postponed again and will not be held this year.
