From January 24th to February 15th, the "Damei Yusi Series of Ancient Maoyuanya - Lin Zhimian Calligraphy Art Exhibition" was exhibited at dongguan Shilong Museum. For the first time, the exhibition focuses on and systematically displays Lin Zhimian's calligraphy art to the outside world, while providing a platform for the public to gain an in-depth understanding of the local history and culture.
Bringing together the national collection, more than 20 works are exhibited
Dongguan calligraphy and painting has a long history, with a long history and talents. In modern times, Lin Zhimian, Rong Geng, Deng Erya, Lu Zishu and a number of pioneers of calligraphy and seal engraving chinese painting have left valuable artistic wealth to Dongguan. Among them, Deng Erya, Lin Zhimian, Lu Zishu and other three famous calligraphers and painters of Guan nationality are more known as the "Dongguan Three Paintings and Calligraphy".

Lin Zhimian calligraphy works
After 1929, Lin Zhimian traveled with calligraphers and painters in Guangdong at that time, such as Feng Kanghou, Cai Shou, Lu Zishu, Wen Qiqiu, Li Yanshan, Rong Geng, Wu Zifu, Chen Jianshan, Zhao Haogong, Jian Jinglun, etc., to exchange artistic experience and promote the development of art. Lin Zhimian, with his profound attainments in Lishu, has a far-reaching influence on the modern Guangdong book scene. In the frequent calligraphy exchanges and exchanges, Wu Zifu was fascinated by the ear, accepted Lin Zhimian's calligraphy advocacy of Ritual Instrument Stele as the sect, and began to work particularly the Ritual Instrument Stele and Qisangong Mountain Stele, and hunted other Han stele extensively, and the style of writing gradually condensed and quaint. Wu Zifu, who was deeply influenced by Lin Zhimian, later became a generation of Lishu masters.
It is reported that more than 20 calligraphy works are exhibited this time, including lishu, calligraphy, cursive, letters, inscriptions, etc., bringing together the collections of calligraphers and collectors from all over the country, revealing to the public the epitome of the intersection of the individual development of politicians, calligraphers and literati and the times under the great historical changes. In order to let more people appreciate the art of Lin Zhimian calligraphy, the book "Gu Mao Yuanya - Lin Zhimian Calligraphy Art", which was collected by the Shilong Museum, was officially published by Lingnan Fine Arts Publishing House in December 2021.
Enlighten today's people to inherit the spirit of courage and responsibility
On January 24th, lin zhimian calligraphy art exhibition guide meeting was held. Li Bingqiu, director of the Party History Research Office of the Municipal Party Committee, Zhou Hanbiao, a first-level researcher of the Municipal People's Congress and vice chairman of the Provincial Book Association, Yan Yiduan, director of the China Book Association, full-time vice chairman and secretary general of the Provincial Book Association, and Zhang Tongbiao, deputy secretary of the Shilong Town Party Committee, attended the guided tour. At the meeting, as the keynote speakers, Zhou Hanbiao and Yan Yiduan discussed this calligrapher and democratic revolutionary in depth with everyone from different angles.

Zhou Hanbiao said that Lin Zhimian is a democratic revolutionary, an artist, a calligrapher, and a "stone dragon relic" among the sages of Dongguan, who absorbed the essence of Han tablets such as the "Ceremonial Instrument Stele" and integrated his own ideas to make his calligraphy art unique and magnificent. He is like a man, with a pen like a knife, in the great changes that have not occurred in a hundred years, he is in a turbulent era but dares to stand up and choose a strong road of iron shoulders and morality. Therefore, this exhibition is a very meaningful thing to enlighten today's people on how to base themselves on the new starting point of "double ten thousand" in Dongguan and inherit the spirit of the sages who have the courage to take responsibility.
Yan Yiduan said that this exhibition is very meaningful and has a positive role in promoting traditional Chinese culture. From the perspective of calligraphy art, Lin Zhimian directly pursued the Han Tang Dynasty and the Han Monument, influencing the entire Lingnan calligraphy art. He did not regard the study of calligraphy as a "profession", so that it would become a "career". As a Shilong person, Lin Zhimian is known as the "giant of Lingnan Lishu", and with its wide range of influence and strong penetration, it is undoubtedly one of the "brands" of Guanyi's history and culture.
Multi-angle exhibition polishing Guanyi cultural "business card"
In recent years, as Dongguan has made every effort to promote the construction of a culturally strong city and the construction of a "quality cultural capital", it has paid great attention to excavating and sorting out the historical sages and cultural context of Dongguan. The exhibition takes Lin Zhimian's calligraphy art as the starting point, not only from different angles such as his family origin, artistic achievements, artistic travel, career career, etc., deeply interprets Lin Zhimian's life, but also shows the artistic style of famous artists in the Republic of China period, and also sorts out the cultural context and inheritance of Dongguan, strengthens the connection between Lin Zhimian and Dongguan Shilong, and makes it easier for citizens to resonate.
The Lin Zhimian Calligraphy Art Exhibition exhibited at the Shilong Museum systematically studies and sorts out the development context of his calligraphy art, allowing visitors to more deeply and intuitively understand the changes in Lin Zhimian's calligraphy art in different periods, recognize the historical background and humanistic spirit of Shilong from Lin Zhimian's life experience, and enhance the sense of identity and pride of Wanyi culture.
