"Wildfire Spring Wind Fighting Ancient City": Wildfires burn endlessly, and spring winds blow and grow again

What is a "literary classic"? Classics are literary works that have passed the accumulation and test of history, swept the sand in the waves, forged thousands of hammers, and are still enduring after time. These works can give people power and inspire, and so can the red classics.

  The movie "Wildfire Spring Breeze Fighting Ancient City" is adapted from Li Yingru's novel of the same name, recreating the scene of our party's underground workers fighting hard against the enemy in a difficult environment. "Wildfire Spring Wind" is based on two poems from Bai Juyi's "Farewell to the Ancient Grassland": "Wildfires burn endlessly, and the spring wind blows and grows again", showing the revolutionaries' indomitable fighting spirit and the successive servants, just like the grass that was burned by wildfire, and the next spring will be green and endless.

  Although the enemy is like wildfire, the strength of the party is like a spring wind, and no matter how fierce the enemy is, it will not be able to burn the new force of "spring wind blowing and regenerating."

  The film removes other plot threads and clings to the line of underground workers fighting for the uprising of the pseudo-vigilante Guan Jingtao, which is both tense and full of humanity. In 1943, Yang Xiaodong, the political commissar of the guerrillas, infiltrated an ancient city in North China and cooperated with the underground organization to plan a siege of the city. During an ambush, the puppet regimental commander Guan Jingtao was captured and released, and Guan was suspected by the Japanese adviser Takada and the puppet army commander Gao Dacheng. Takada let jinhuan, an underground traffic officer who was betrayed by the traitor Gao Ziping, confront Guan Jingtao, and Jinhuan cleverly relieved Guan Jingtao of his responsibilities and was heroic and righteous. In a sad and anxious situation, Yinhuan accidentally exposed the location of the connection with Yang Xiaodong in front of Gao, and Yang Xiaodong was also arrested by the agents. Gao Dacheng wanted to use the mother-son relationship to get a confession, and Yang's mother was worried about the broken son and fell off the building and died. Yinhuan rescued Yang Xiaodong with the cooperation of the armed workers' team and the underground party. Yang Xiaodong remained in the ancient city in order to complete the task of winning over Guan Jingtao. During a search, Guan Jingtao relieved Yang of danger. When Yang Xiaodong saw that the time was ripe, he and Yinhuan personally visited the Guanfu and prompted Guan Jingtao to lead an uprising. In the end, Yang Xiaodong and others eliminated the special agent captain Lan Mao and guan Jingtaobu, who led the uprising, went up the mountain. In the struggle from birth to death, Yang Xiaodong and Silver Ring sincerely fell in love, and he gave Silver Ring the red heart ring left by his mother to his daughter-in-law.

  The character image created by the film is more intuitive, allowing us to appreciate the style of a generation of revolutionary heroes. Yang Xiaodong was resolute and calm, full of wisdom, and successfully rescued Gao Henian by entering the tiger's den with a single knife; after his mother jumped off the building, he successfully persuaded Guan Jingtao to turn to the revolution; relying on wisdom to find bacterial samples and successfully save the villagers... A vivid and full image of the hero was presented to the audience.

  Through the sound language, the film allows the audience to be unconsciously infected and moved by the words of the characters, such as Commissar Yang and his mother being arrested one after another, and the Japanese want to use family affection to make Commissar Yang confess. When the Japanese asked them to meet, both of them involuntarily shed tears. The Japanese say, "The son's sin is suffered by the mother." Commissar Yang, have you not confessed yet?" At this time, Commissar Yang burst into tears and said to his mother sadly: "Mother, I am sorry for you, I am a Communist Party member, I must be worthy of the party and the people." You raised me for so many years, not only did you not reciprocate, but you were implicated by me. The mother said, "Child, it is enough to have your words." The words showed the feelings of Commissar Yang and his mother for the country and the people.

  How to create a distinct character image is the first task of the film. This film not only shows the hardships and sacrifices of the communists represented by Yang Xiaodong, Yinhuan, and Yang Mu in the bloody struggle, but also shows the ferocity and treachery of the puppet army represented by Gao Dacheng, while Guan Jingtao represents the conscience struggle and suffering of the puppet army. The film takes the tension and fierceness of the war as the main line, takes the love between Yang Xiaodong and the silver ring as the secondary line, and uses the red heart ring as a prop to show the development process of the love of the two people in a tortuous way, although love is hidden behind the grand narrative of the war, it develops together with the revolution, closely followed, and can't help but make people moved!

  Through tense, fierce and arduous struggle scenes, as well as the friendship, family affection and love of the revolutionaries, the film presents the spirit of revolutionary heroes who threw their heads and spilled their blood for the liberation and happiness of the people, depicted a picture of a difficult and touching war of resistance, enthusiastically praised the great national spirit of being strong and indomitable and sharing hatred with the enemy, and gave the audience unlimited heroic strength.

Reading the classics can not only let us inherit the strength of the revolution, but also let us understand that the new era needs more spirit of struggle, needs to adhere to revolutionary ideals, continue the spiritual blood of communists, and make unremitting struggles.
