"Quietly Rising" is a work about the intersection of memory and time, which is to look back, examine, comb and think in the journey of life, as if half of life has passed, only to know the entanglement of memory. "It's a stagger of reality and fiction, it's jumping in and out, it's surreal, it's naked and sincere." Xie Xin revealed that the creative process of "Quietly Recovering" began in 2020, after countless materials and paragraphs, and finally left the part that really moved her. Time is like a never-ending gyroscope from which artists draw endless inspiration.
"Quietly Rising" seems to have the meaning of "zeroing, precipitation, and starting again", where does the inspiration for the new work come from? "At the age of 36, I am in the middle of my life, and now I have a small family, have my own children, and carry a dance troupe job." Xie Xin asked his heart if he remembered the first time he saw his mother. "I see my mother's silver hair today, I see the emotional ups and downs of her half life; I see the child from a small white dot to the ground, from not knowing the world to being pulled by the family and the environment to grow every day - I seem to see the cycle of life." 」
"Quietly Rising" puts the life props on the stage and builds a sense of "home".
Memory is the most important part of the composition of time, and when that moment comes, all deep memories flash back, as if they were still rising. Xie Xin was touched by "love" and could not forget the "pain" - is the "scar" left from childhood to today to be torn open? "Initially, you didn't know that memories would be so deep until you were swept into the gyroscope of time and discovered that the cycle of cycles began at that time." Xie Xin admitted: "I want to use this work to reconcile with some of my past. ”
For Xie Xin, creating "Quietly Rising Up" is a great self-challenge, "so big that standing on top of all his own experiences, but he doesn't know where to go... After winning the overall championship of the second season of "Dance Storm", Xie Xin ushered in the "harvest period" of the work and the "harvest period" of the performance. "A little older age and past experience will make me calm and self-aware at some fruitful stages, and will not be brought into another runway by fast and vain fast food." Xie Xin revealed that the dance troupe still performed more than 70 times in 2021. In her previous two works, "Nine-Piece" and "Entropy", Xie Xin tried to collaborate with other artists as a dancer; in the latest work, "Quietly Rising Up", she returned to the position of "choreographer + starring". "Over the years, I have been switching between my two identities, leaving room for my own collaboration with choreographers I admire, and sorting out my own creation at each stage in my self-reflection. Maintaining such a rhythm requires great tolerance and courage.
