Former UFC player and former Bellator middleweight champion challenger Maiquel Falcao was stabbed to death outside a Brazilian bar on the evening of Jan. 23 at the age of 40, according to the Sun.
According to Brazilian police, Falco was attacked outside a bar in his hometown of Pelotas, Brazil, in the early hours of the weekend, and was repeatedly stabbed in the stomach by gangsters.
He was found lying outside the bar and was taken to the hospital emergency center around 3 a.m., but unfortunately died after ineffective rescue. Falco has nearly 20 years of experience, playing 61 MMA matches to achieve a professional record of 40 wins, 20 losses and no results.

Falco's only UFC match came in 2010 in UFC 123, when he played against Gerald Harris, who was defeated in the final leg of the match. As a former UFC player who has won the Right to Challenge the Bellator Championship, Falco is also a successful professional boxer.
But off the field he was less visible, having previously been sentenced to 24 months in prison for assaulting a woman, but was released eight months later and allowed to serve his sentence at home.
In 2013, Falco was also involved in a gas station fight when he was an undefeated pro.
