Blue Whale TMT channel on January 25, according to foreign media reports, Facebook parent company Meta Platforms Inc revealed that its research team built a new artificial intelligence supercomputer, is expected to soon become the world's fastest artificial intelligence supercomputer.
Meta said that the supercomputer is called AI Research SuperCluster (RSC for short), which is the result of research and development in the past two years. The AI supercomputing project is led by Facebook's parent company's AI and infrastructure teams, with partners including several well-known companies in the industry, such as NVIDIA, Penguin Computing Inc, and Pure Storage Inc.
Meta CEO Zuckerberg said, "The experiences we build for the metaverse require enormous computing power, and RSC will enable new AI models to learn from trillions of examples, understand hundreds of languages, etc."
