At 10:00 a.m. on January 22, 2022, the opening ceremony of the "Silk Road Departure - Guangxi Han Dynasty Maritime Silk Road Cultural Relics Special Exhibition" was held at the Yulin Museum. Director Wei Jiang of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. This is the seventh lunar new year special exhibition held by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum in cooperation with the Yulin Museum since 2016. As the Spring Festival of 2022 is approaching, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum once again presents a wonderful cultural feast for the audience in Yulin. The exhibition will run until May 30, 2022.

"Silk Road Sailing - Guangxi Han Dynasty Maritime Silk Road Cultural Relics Special Exhibition" is divided into three parts: "Across the Ocean: Han Dynasty Maritime Silk Road Trade", "Inclusive: Science and Technology and Cultural Dissemination", "Connecting the Rivers and Seas: Close Exchanges with inland and Coastal Areas", a total of 101 pieces (sets) of cultural relics related to the Sea Silk Culture are exhibited, including inscription gold cakes, stringed glass, twelve gold beads, "Jiuzhenfu" pottery cylinders, as well as crystal, beryl, agate, amber, red jade chalcedony beads and other artifacts, reproducing the mainland and Southeast Asia, South Asia, The historical picture of exchanges, integration and development in many civilized regions such as West Asia and the Mediterranean Sea in terms of commodity trade, science and technology culture, and life aesthetics.

"The Silk Road Sets Sail - Guangxi Han Dynasty Maritime Silk Road Cultural Relics Special Exhibition" is planned by the Hai Silk Center of our museum, and this exhibition in the Yulin Museum is the third stop of the exhibition in China and the first stop in Guangxi. In order to ensure the smooth holding of the exhibition, our museum sent professional and technical personnel from the Hai Silk Center, the Second Exhibition Department, the Storage Department, and the Safety Management Department to Yulin to complete the handover of cultural relics and assist in the installation of the exhibition.
