Maybe you haven't been to Africa, you've been to Kenya, but you may have read the American writer Hemingway's book: The Snow of Kilimanjaro.
It's a novella about "death," and at the end of the story, the protagonist , Harry , dies in a dream in which he flies off to the summit of Kilimanjaro , Africa's highest peak.
Mt. Kilimanjaro is known as the "roof of Africa", and many geographers call it the "King of Africa". Because Hulu Peak in Mount Kilimanjaro, at an altitude of 5895 meters, is the highest point in Africa.
Although Mount Kilimanjaro is within Tanzania, Kenya's Amboseli National Park is one of the best places to see Kilimanjaro Snow Mountain.
Amazingly, Mount Kilimanjaro, despite its proximity to the equator and high temperatures, is covered with snow all year round. This mountain is the watershed of Tanzania and Kenya, but also a volcano and a snowy mountain, ice and fire!
Snow-capped peaks and herds of elephants are considered to be the iconic classics of Africa, and this is where they come from.
On that trip in Kenya, I went to Amboseli Park just to take a look at Hemingway's Mount Kilimanjaro.
Located on the Kenyan border, Amboseli National Park is one of the African holiday destinations, located 240 km southeast of Nairobi, kenya's capital.
Don't look at only a mere two hundred kilometers, from Nairobi to a modified jeep, to Amboseli National Park, it takes five or six hours of bumpy driving, you can imagine the road conditions.
But for that picture in my mind, everything is worth it.
After arriving at the hotel for a while, the resort we stayed in Kenya, it was very feeling, it was such a thatched house.
Unexpectedly, there is also a lovely swimming pool.
In the evening, we got on a buggy safari in Amboseli National Park. This national park is super huge, with an area of 392 square kilometers and a total of five gates.
Amboseli means "dry lake", and like the Sahara Desert, it was a huge lake in ancient times.
"Remember, this is not a zoo, it's a real home for animals, and humans are just passers-by."
Here, human beings are only a small animal, and can only merge with the car, so that life is not threatened.
In the park, it is often the case that there is a zebra in front of it, and several cars can only stop and wait for the zebra to cross the road slowly.
In order not to affect the living environment of the animals, the off-road vehicle is traveling along several fixed tour routes, and it is not allowed to leave this route without authorization.
The vehicle is equipped with an experienced driver to help tourists find animals and transmit messages to each other through intercoms.
Amb0seli Park has a huge variety of animals, and the smart, warm, gentle and ridiculous elephants are recognized as stars there.
It is rare for an elephant to move alone, and a mature female elephant lives with her children, and often sees a mother elephant with several elephant bags, lined up in a row, and walking slowly.
The feeling of a person in a cage will feel how small a human being is in nature.
The plains below Mount Kilimanjaro are beautiful, but from a distance, the clouds are thick and you can't see the top of the mountain, let alone the snow at the top of the mountain.
Here, lions, Indian leopards, etc. hunt down young or unscupied gazelles and other herbivores every day, surrounded by dangers.
No one is allowed to get out of the car, not allowed to feed, and not allowed to speak loudly. Everyone whispered.
"Look, there's a little wildebeest there, it's so cute." Traveling companions are thrilled.
"Shhh~~" is mostly such a scene.
Wildlife here includes: coyotes, bears, baboons, antelopes, elephants, foxes, leopards, lions, jackals, arrow pigs, rhinos, zebras, Jews and more.
But it is said that the lions here are on the verge of extinction because of the hunting of the local Maasai people. That evening, we didn't see a single lion.
Sincerity of heart, I flew nine thousand kilometers, and in the evening when the sun set, Mount Kilimanjaro cleared the fog and finally revealed its true face.
Looking at the square roof of mount Kilimanjaro, the silver light of the snow crown on the summit is compelling, reproducing the magnificent scene in Hemingway's "The Snow of Kilimanjaro".
It is said that the snow melting phenomenon at the top of the mountain is very serious, and I wonder if after many years, there will be no snow crown at the top of the mountain?
The car drove in the sunset, and a lone tree on the African savannah was in my sight. Passing by a lake, there are also many flamingos foraging in the sunset.
With a great sense of happiness, say goodbye to Amboseli National Park, say goodbye to Mount Kilimanjaro, say goodbye to those adorable animals.
I know that such a beautiful picture has been taken into my heart and will never be forgotten again.
