At the just-concluded CES Consumer Electronics Technology Show, Sony officially announced the construction of cars and launched a Vision-S concept car. Today, Sony is looking for technology partners around the world to advance its automotive business.
According to Izumi Kawanishi, senior general manager of Sony Group, Sony may add new technology partners for its electric vehicle project. And Sony will make full use of its entertainment field to transform the car from a simple means of transportation to an entertainment mobile space.
When asked by the media whether Sony will cooperate with Chinese companies, Izumi Kawanishi responded that Sony will choose new partners for the electric vehicle program based on the technology it provides, not limited to nationality.
At the previous CES show, Sony brought the first concept car and officially stepped into the door of electric vehicle manufacturing. But the concept car wasn't made by Sony. In fact, Sony's automotive business is based in Europe, with prototypes coming from the well-known auto parts manufacturer Magna's plant in Austria. The plant also supplies parts to Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Toyota.

This concept car adopts a futuristic technology design from the appearance, and the overall shape is easily reminiscent of Tesla's Model 3. The sporty shape is complemented by a two-tone bodywork that accentuates the sense of luxury. The body lines are also very beautiful, and the current popular slip-on style can also be used.
In terms of details, the front of the new car is more dynamic, and the "sleeping silkworm" and "eyeshadow" possessed by the headlights give this car a soul. The grille remains at the bottom of the front of the car, and the intake ducts on both sides also provide heat dissipation for the tires and brakes.
The design of the rear is not distinctive, and it is almost exactly the same as Lincoln Z, Lincoln's new family car.
Comments: In the past, due to the technical threshold of the internal combustion engine, it was not an easy task to build a car. But now that we've entered the era of electrification, electric motors, batteries, and even autonomous driving technology can all rely on suppliers. This is also why Apple and Sony have become new players in the electric vehicle industry. But building a car is not as simple as putting technology together, but Sony also has its own characteristics, bringing entertainment into the car, which may become Sony's winning formula.
