Sky: Two men were arrested by London police on suspicion of throwing debris at Rudiger

According to Sky Sports, two men who threw debris at Rudiger during the Chelsea match against Tottenham hotspur have been arrested by the London police.

In Chelsea's 2-0 home win over Tottenham, fans in the away stands threw debris at Rudiger, which was then thrown out of the field by the German centre-back.

A Spokesman for the London Police Department told Sky Sports: "Two men have been arrested for allegedly throwing debris into the stadium during Chelsea's home game against Tottenham, who have been detained and we are launching a joint investigation with Tottenham as well as Chelsea to determine if anyone else has thrown debris into the pitch. Spurs said they would review the footage with Chelsea and take appropriate action.

After the game, when asked if Rudiger had been hit by debris thrown at the crowd and whether some recent incidents had worried him, Chelsea boss Tuchel said: "I'm not worried, but you're right, I sent a message to the fans that I want them to support us. ”

"We wanted to see them supporting us up close, the atmosphere was warm and they weren't blocked by the isolation net. But everyone has to show respect, I'm not worried about that, I love the atmosphere. We need to work together to curb the spread of this in order to protect the unique atmosphere of English football. ”
