Who has pity in the red incense - the film essay of "Ruan Lingyu"

Shanghai Beach is a legendary city of that era. There are not only lanes and rain alleys, but also ten miles of ocean fields. How many people, thinking that this is the place where the dream began, but finally faded away, and the prosperity of the lights and greens has nothing to do with themselves after all. But there are also some people who seem to be born to be in this ups and downs, desperately hoping to disappear, but they are always remembered. Ruan Lingyu seems to be the character who disappeared from that prosperous old dream, but is always remembered.

Ruan Lingyu, who starred in her first solo film "Nominal Couple" in 1926, and thus began her acting career when she was 16 years old. Over the next nine years, she made nearly 30 films. In today's terms, she is not only beautiful, but also has very good acting skills, it is difficult to think of not being popular, and the scenery is infinite for a time. However, such a living person, because of the four words "people are fearful", finally ended his life. Her short 25 years of time, the youth fame, the scenery is infinite, but it disappears at the most brilliant time, like fireworks, illuminating the night sky with a moment of prosperity.

And all of this, accompanied by that melodious and mournful tune, was re-displayed in front of people's eyes in the film "Ruan Lingyu". The structure of this film is relatively unique, there are two lines, one is the life of Ruan Lingyu in the film, and the other is the set of the actor Who played Ruan Lingyu, Maggie Cheung. Through this technique, the present is intertwined with the past, and the audience is vividly restored to a real Ruan Lingyu.

Maggie Cheung said: "I think there is a kind of charm in Ruan Lingyu's bones that cannot be said. "Yes, the woman who was immersed in the smoke and rain of the Republic of China naturally has a unique charm, charming, but not kitsch.

In the film, several emotional entanglements of Ruan Lingyu are highlighted - Zhang Damin, Tang Jishan, and Cai Chusheng. These three people seem to be passers-by in her short life, but they have left a strong mark in her life. Zhang Damin is the one who meets people unladylike; Tang Jishan, who is unforgettable; and Cai Chusheng, who is the moon in the water that scatters when touched. The cuts are constant, and the rationalization is still messy. And fate seems to have already laid the groundwork in this seemingly chaotic mess.

The climax of the film is Ruan Lingyu's suicide. People who have watched this movie can easily think that Ruan Lingyu committed suicide because of "fearsome words". The basis for this judgment is this sentence mentioned several times in the film, and Ruan Lingyu also mentioned this sentence repeatedly when she committed suicide. And this, in fact, represents the director's view of Ruan Lingyu's suicide. And what was the real cause of Ruan Lingyu's suicide? No one seems to be able to say it clearly.

"As soon as I die now, people will think I am afraid of sin. In fact, what is my terrible sin? ”

"Alas, I am sorry to die, but I am still afraid that people's words will be fearful, and people's words will be fearful."

At the end of the movie, time and space intersect, Ruan Lingyu lies quietly, when the camera suddenly switches to the outside of the play, becoming a scene of filming, Maggie Cheung sits up, and also brings us back to the real world. After the discussion between the actor and the director, Maggie Cheung lay down again, no longer breathing, and pulled us back to Ruan Lingyu's time.

The real tragedy is to tear beautiful things apart for people to see. Ruan Lingyu, the style is unique, but she can't help herself. Flowers and flowers fly all over the sky, and who has pity for the red incense?

Life is like a play, and a play is like life. On stage, we may not be the protagonists; offstage, we are all protagonists. The people on the stage interpret the tragic and joyful life under the stage; the people on the stage sigh in other people's stories. And whether it is sad or happy, the Slovaks have gone, the past has disappeared, why should the viewers pursue that past?

The moon shadow is shaky, and in the long song of mourning, there is only one back wearing a cheongsam, and Lou Ting is gone, gradually blurring...

PS. "Buried Heart" is really good to listen to, I highly recommend everyone to listen to it.
