Kunchu Expressway is the capital of Yunnan Province, Kunming to eight prefectures and cities in western Yunnan (including Dali, Lijiang, Dehong, etc.) traffic artery, due to the large traffic flow, often in recent years often serious congestion. To this end, Yunnan decided to build a double line from Kunming to Chuxiong and Chuxiong to Dali.
Among them, the new Kunchu Expressway starts near Minshan in Wuhua District, Kunming City, and ends in Guangtong Town, Lufeng City, Chuxiong Prefecture, with a total length of about 106 kilometers, a bridge-tunnel ratio of 62.8%, and is built according to the standard of a two-way six-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
