In 2011, Shi Jie graduated from university and entered the Chengdu Metro. The newly graduated student has a brain of theoretical knowledge, but lacks on-site experience on the production line, so he does the most basic front-line work.
From painting the nut's anti-loosening wire to cleaning the air conditioning filter, or checking the wiring out of the box under the car, in the initial "apprenticeship period", Shi Jie repeated the seemingly simple work.

However, in addition to completing the established work, he will set some additional goals for himself, such as taking the gas road map to go under the car after completing the work, recognizing the direction of the pipe connection, so that he can combine theory and practical production as soon as possible, so that the professional knowledge learned by the university can serve on-site production. Because he knows that only by laying a solid foundation can he go further. Later, Shi Jie successively participated in the preparation of the new lines of Line 2 and Line 17, was responsible for a series of vehicle preparations for the electric bus from the production factory acceptance to the no-load stage of the positive line, and led the preparation of a series of maintenance procedures and process documents such as vehicle overhaul, balanced repair, and fault handling guide, providing many reference standards for front-line production and maintenance.

"There are always more ways than difficulties"
"Don't be afraid, there are always more ways than difficulties." This is One of Shi Jie's favorite words on his lips. In 2013, with the gradual updating and upgrading of the maintenance procedures of electric buses, more and more maintenance items need to be more detailed, and more convenient maintenance tooling is needed to help front-line production. Relying on a "drilling" momentum, Shi Jie set out to design tooling that would help the front-line production improve efficiency. For example, the first door screw wiping tooling saves manpower consumption and eliminates the risk of labor injury that may exist during operation.
After discovering that the air pipeline check valve generated a lot of noise due to resonance, he improved the original check valve, improved the efficacy and safety of the original valve, and kept the product cost basically unchanged, and achieved the best effect with the lowest cost. Shi Jie designed a series of tooling tools with strong practicality and operability, which makes the maintenance of electric buses safer and more efficient, and also reduces the failure rate of trains. A total of 22 new devices, tooling and tools of various types of "miniaturization, integration and low cost" have been independently designed and manufactured, of which 4 have obtained national patents.
"There is no end to learning"
In his spare time, Shi Jie will use his spare time to read and study. He was admitted to the National Key Traction Power Laboratory of Southwest Jiaotong University to improve his academic quality in his profession. Subsequently, in the Chengdu Million Workers Skills Competition, Shi Jie won the third place, winning the honorary titles of "Most Conscientious Safety Operator" in Chengdu in 2015, "Chengdu Role Model • Good Youth Around" in 2015-2016, and was awarded the honorary title of "Chengdu Craftsman" in 2021.
He not only has the courage to specialize in theory, but also can make people feel at ease in practical work, and he can always complete the tasks he accepts quickly and well. In the eyes of his colleagues, he is a very reliable person.
