Born in a peasant family, Mao Hongkun actively responded to the call of the state to enlist in the army in 2001, and trained in the military camp the spirit of bearing hardships and standing hard work, becoming more and more courageous, and never saying defeat. In 2014, when the country sounded the clarion call of the battle against poverty, he returned to his hometown to devote himself to the grassroots, and in more than seven years of grassroots work, he sincerely did practical things for the masses in Maotan Village, tried his best to solve difficulties, and persevered in doing good deeds. Mao Hongkun said.
Since 2015, with the joint efforts of the party committee and government, the two village committees, the village-based task force and the support unit, Maotan Village has successively built 6 new Tongtun hardening roads, with a total length of 12 kilometers, installed about 500 solar street lights and floodlights, and now 8 natural tuns in Maotan Village have built cement roads, and the masses have gradually become more and more convenient to travel.

After becoming a people's congress deputy in 2021, Mao Hongkun, together with other deputies, made good use of the live Maotan Village People's Congress Liaison Station, through the theme activity of "improving the urban and rural living environment and improving the quality of people's lives", listened to the opinions and suggestions of the people's congress deputies, and with the full field investigation when visiting households every day, found that there are still many places that need to be optimized in the current road network layout of Maotan Village, further dredging the "capillaries" between Tun and Tun, and letting the smooth and smooth Tun-level roads shuttle behind the villagers' houses. It will not only better solve the problem of mass travel, but also continue to provide conditions for industrial development and villagers' income.
"The bill I want to propose this year is to repair the road from Bianjiangtun to Datangtun. Originally, there were also projects, but some difficulties were encountered, and this year we wanted to fight for the funds in the county to solve this road as soon as possible. Mao Hongkun said.
With the unremitting efforts of the two village committees, the village-based work teams, and the Autonomous Region Water Conservancy Department of the support unit, the road hardening project, the rural drinking water safety project, the key project of national water and soil conservation in small watersheds, the farmland water canal project, and the water source protection project have successively landed in Maotan Village, which has greatly improved the villagers' production and living conditions and quality of life, and laid a solid foundation for the "from scratch, from existence to prosperity" of characteristic industries.
