Yao Yulan is a famous actress in Peking Opera, who has been famous in Jiangnan with her sister Yao Yuying since she was a child, and is also the daughter of Song Qiling and the girlfriend of Lady Jiang Song Meiling. In 1927, the Yao sisters were forcibly occupied by their own Peking Opera "fan" Du Yuesheng, Yao Yuying died of illness soon after, and Yao Yulan was adopted as the fourth aunt by Du Yuesheng the following year, and later she also helped Du Yuesheng to adopt her girlfriend Meng Xiaodong as the fifth aunt.
In 1930, Yao Yulan gave birth to Du Meiru, which was Du Yuesheng's first daughter, naturally pampered and multiplied, usually only leather shoes, there are more than a hundred pairs made by countries around the world, at that time, its clothing was exquisite, and the luxury of enjoyment was top-notch in Shanghai.

After Du Yuesheng's death, Meng Xiaodong lived in Hong Kong for more than a decade, until 1967, when she moved to Taiwan under the repeated invitations of Yao Yulan, and her life in her later years was taken care of by Du Meixia.
