On the afternoon of January 21, the first award ceremony of the Jiangsu Provincial Literary and Art Award was held in Nanjing. After the award organizing committee organized experts to conduct re-evaluation and final evaluation, a total of 30 outstanding works (departments) won the award.
Shui Jiayue, secretary of the party leading group, executive vice chairman and first secretary of the secretariat of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Liu Xudong, member of the party group, vice chairman and secretary of the Secretariat of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Wang Zheng, vice chairman of the Provincial Writers Association and chairman of the Provincial Evaluation Association, and Wen Panya, Xue Yingdan, He Ping and Chu Xiaoqing, vice chairmen of the Provincial Evaluation Association, attended the event and presented awards to the award-winning authors. The award ceremony was presided over by Wang Zheng. Wu Yanyi, a teacher at Changzhou University, spoke on behalf of the award-winning authors.
Sponsored by the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and undertaken by the Provincial Appraisal Association, the Jiangsu Provincial Literary and Art Criticism Award was approved by the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and the Office of the Provincial Coordination Group for the Creation of Standards appraisal and commendation work, and the highest award of literary and art criticism in our province is an important measure to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on literary and artistic work, especially the spirit of the important instructions on literary and art criticism, and to implement the requirements set forth in the "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening literary and art criticism in the New Era" jointly issued by the Central Propaganda Department and other five departments. It is of positive significance to promote jiangsu's outstanding literary and art critics and works.
Since the announcement of the award on September 15, 2021, it has been warmly welcomed and actively participated by the vast number of literary and art critics, and after the districted municipal appraisal associations and provincial primary elections, 123 validly applied works (departments) have been finally received, 23 of their Chinese art criticism works, 80 literary and art criticism articles, 20 literary and art short reviews, covering 11 major criticism categories such as literature, drama, film and television, music, fine arts, qu art, dance, folk art, photography, calligraphy, and comprehensive reviews, and the scope of works covers 14 regions. Units (including 13 districted municipalities and provincial units). After the award organizing committee organized experts to conduct re-evaluation and final evaluation, a total of 30 outstanding works (departments) won the award.
After the award ceremony, Liu Xudong gave special counseling on the speech of the general secretary at the eleventh national literary congress.
