Introduction to Art
Zhang Shuqian, born in 1968 in Luoyang, Henan, is a famous contemporary calligrapher and painter, a disciple of Qi Baishi for three generations, and the inheritor of the Danqing technique of Qi School. In 2015, he was awarded the honorary title of China's 100 Masterpieces of Calligraphy and Painting, and won the honorary title of "People's Artist" and "China's 100 Masterpieces" of Virtue and Art in 2018. Signed artist of Beijing Educational Television "Ink and Wash Danqing Column" and "Famous Lecture". He has published books such as "Collection of Disciples of the Qi School", "Collection of Chinese Painting Works of Zhang Shuqian", "Essence of Ink Painting Techniques of the Qi School - Zhang Shuqian", "Ink Skills of Flowers and Birds - Zhang Shuqian".
Awards for exhibitions
In 2006, he won the gold medal of the "Golden Tripod Award" National Calligraphy Art Exhibition;
In 2007, he was selected for the first Chinese love oracle bone calligraphy and seal carving exhibition and included in the compilation collection;
In 2009, he won the gold medal of the "Second Annual Creation Exhibition of China Ink Painting Research Institute";
In 2010, he was invited to Finland, Switzerland to participate in the exhibition of famous artists;
In 2012, he went to Osaka, Japan to hold a solo exhibition;
In 2013, he was invited to give an art exchange lecture at the National University of Singapore.
In 2015, he was invited to participate in the Hong Kong Arts Center.
In 2016, he was invited to Los Angeles to participate in the World Chinese Celebrity Ancient Calligraphy Tour Exhibition with Su Shishu and other famous calligraphers;
2017 In 2018, he participated in the Chinese Ancient Calligraphy Exhibition for two consecutive years;
In 2017, together with Zhang Hai and Shen Peng, he was invited to Canada to participate in the World Chinese Character Culture Calligraphy Exhibition;
From 2018 to 2019, it was held in 8 provincial capitals across the country - Chaohua Xishi - Zhang Shuqian's Chinese Painting Exhibition;
