West Basketball: Zanan Moussa scored 26 points to help Lugo win at home to Basquenia

In last night's La Liga match, Lugo beat Basquenia 89-83 at home, surpassing the latter in the standings to move up to seventh.

After the game began, although Basquenia took the initiative in the first quarter and took a five-point lead (19-24), Lugo guard Zanan Moussa, the NBA rookie selected by the Nets with the 29th pick in 2018, was so hot that he scored 18 points in the first half (26 points), leading Lugo to a 50-47 victory.

Upon returning from the second half, Basquenia briefly brought the lead back (57-61), but Lugo regained the lead (69-62) with a wave of 12-1 scoring and held it until the end of the game.

After winning this game, Lugo is just one win away from the playoff spot and is very close to returning to the Copa del Rey for the first time since 1995. Basqueña, on the other hand, is in a state of flux, either against Barcelona or to Zaragoza and Lugo, and is now only in the middle of the UEFA and La Liga, with their playoff spots increasingly slim.
