Prime Minister: I have not seen any evidence of intimidation and extortion within the Conservative Party

On the 20th local time, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that there was threats and intimidation in the Conservative Party that day, saying that he "did not see any evidence to show" that there was intimidation and extortion in the Conservative Party.

Johnson said: "I have not seen any evidence, nor have I heard any evidence. Asked if he would investigate the report, he replied, "Of course there will be an investigation."

Earlier in the day, William Raghall, chairman of britain's public administration and constitutional affairs committee, revealed that Conservative MPs who demanded Prime Minister Johnson's resignation had been intimidated from within the party. He said the police should be contacted immediately if the MPs were intimidated and threatened.

Angela Rayner, deputy leader of Britain's Labour Party, called the incident "shocking". Ed David, the leader of Britain's Liberal Democrats, accused Johnson of "acting more like a gang leader than the prime minister". (Reporter Liang Tao)
