West Tower Image "88" West Trip 11: The First Pier of the Great Wall

The first pier of the Great Wall, also known as the Pier of the Qiao Lai River, the full name should be the first pier of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty, which is a pier at the southernmost end of the Great Wall in the west of JiayuGuan, and also the most spectacular and well-preserved ancient military pass along the Great Wall. The first pier of the Great Wall was built in 1539 AD, 75 kilometers north of Guancheng, and the pier stands on a cliff more than 60 meters high on the bank of the Qiao Lai River, which can be described as "the world's first dangerous pier". The first pier of the Great Wall is bordered by Jiayuguan City to the east, the endless desert to the west, Guancheng to the north, and the undulating Qilian Snow Mountain to the south.

On the Ming Dynasty Great Wall line of more than 10,000 miles, the piers are as dense as stars, and the first pier of the Jiayuguan Great Wall echoes with the "old dragon head" of Shanhaiguan, jointly building the beginning and end of the "dragon" of the Great Wall of China, and achieving the reputation of the "dragon" of the Chinese nation.
