Just waiting for U.S. approval? The "lethal weapons" of the small European country were transported to Ukraine, and Germany said: Do not follow

Some time ago, the United States and Russia held three meetings, but they failed to ease relations with each other, and the United States intended to use the Ukrainian issue to put pressure on Russia, and Russia refused to back down one step. The United States accuses Russia of putting nuclear warheads on the "doorstep" of the United States, while the United States is stepping up its intervention in ukraine on the other side.

According to the "Observer Network", there are already Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and other countries, intending to transport "deadly weapons" to Ukraine, including the US-made "Javelin" anti-tank missiles, resulting in an escalation of the local situation. However, according to the provisions of U.S. export controls, these European countries must first obtain approval from the U.S. State Department if they want to export U.S.-made weapons.

In fact, before these countries took their position, the United States had approved a batch of weapons destined for Ukraine, which were worth $200 million, including Javelin missiles, radar systems and so on. And after this batch of weapons, there is another batch of weapons waiting to be shipped, including at least $75 million of "lethal weapons" among them.

In addition, Peter Kumit, head of Estonia's Ministry of International Cooperation, said that it would consider providing Ukraine with Javelin anti-tank missiles and 122 mm howitzers; and Lithuania, which has recently been close to the United States, has also said that it will deliver deadly weapons to Crane, the specific types have not yet been specified, but the official also revealed that this is a multilateral agreement, several countries are involved, in addition, Latvia also has the same intentions as Estonia and Lithuania.

As NATO allies of the United States, Estonia and Lithuania have been buying Javelin anti-tank missiles from the United States, and this support for Ukraine is not only to cater to the UNITED proposition, but more importantly, to hope that NATO will protect its own security and reinforce the troops stationed in these countries.

Of course, the arms shipments of these countries also have a lot to do with the fact that Ukraine has been "begging everywhere". However, as nato members, some countries are not fooled by this.

On January 17, local time, when some media asked German Foreign Minister Berberk whether he would provide weapons to Ukraine, the foreign minister gave a negative answer, her reason is that the military upgrade will not bring more security to Ukraine. The German Foreign Minister's statement, made during a visit to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, is rather unusual.

Although the new foreign minister has previously said she will distance herself from Merkel's policies, the two governments have tacitly agreed on Ukraine. Germany's position on arms exports has been consistent, helping Ukraine build mobile hospitals to prevent the crisis from escalating further, rather than fanning the flames.

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy has been accusing Germany of its actions. In an interview with Italian media, Zelenskiy said That Germany is blocking NATO from providing anti-drone and anti-sniper equipment to Ukraine, and expressed dissatisfaction.

And before the German foreign minister's visit to Ukraine, the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany had made it clear that Germany would provide weapons to the country to deal with Russia's "war threat", only then would Ukraine recognize Germany as a "real friend".

But apparently Germany doesn't care at all. Following Germany's statement, Ukrainian authorities also said Germany's position was "very frustrating and painful" and began to hype up the enormous risk of war across Europe, even saying that Ukraine had a "sacred right of self-defense."

While small Baltic states such as Britain and small Baltic states are following in the footsteps of the United States in supporting Ukraine, EU mainstays like Germany do not want to be completely controlled by the United States. It shows that within the small group of NATO, the attitude of countries towards Ukraine is not monolithic, but shows a considerable degree of division, and as the relations between Ukraine and Russia and the United States and Russia are tense, Europe may usher in huge risks.
