"At 7 a.m. on January 15, I was still sleeping when I heard someone outside shouting, 'Hurry up.'" Xiao Jin was a crew member of the ship, and it was his rest time at the time of the incident, and he heard the call that the cabin was leaking from the other crew members. [This month] was sent out by our response to the Labour Inspection Brigade. We keep pushing [them] to say, 'The company has no money.'" Xiao Jin was worried that he could not go home for the New Year due to the epidemic, and after 3 days he left Maoming and returned to his hometown in Shandong.
In addition to Xiao Jin, there were more than twenty crew members and sailors who had not received wages. A sailor sailed a few months earlier than Xiaojin, and his salary for the first few months was normal, and his salary from September last year to January this year was only paid for November 2021.

According to Tianyan, Guangdong Jindonghai Dredging Engineering Co., Ltd. was established in July 2010 with a registered capital of 20 million yuan, mainly undertaking the construction of various waterway projects, dredging and blowing land reclamation (including cofferdams). The reporter tried to call the company's reserved corporate phone, but no one answered. In terms of judicial risks, the company had more than 20 cases involving labor disputes involving crew members in 2019 and 2020.
