Ancient8, Vietnam's largest blockchain game guild, announced the completion of a $4 million seed round. The round was led by Dragonfly Capital, Pantera Capital and Hashed, with strategic backers including Mechanics Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Alameda Research, 3Twelve Capital, Coin98 Ventures, Kyros Ventures, Raydium and Jump Capital , GuildFi, Impossible Finance, Animoca Brands, Mirana Ventures (Venture Partners of Bybit and BitDAO), Chromia, Sipher, Smrti Lab, Folius Ventures, PANONY, Shima Capital, C^2 Ventures and SkyVision Capital.
Angel investors including Trung Nguyen (Axie Infinity), Santiago R Santos, Nick Chong and Loi Luu (Kyber Network) also participated in the round.
Founded in July 2021 and incubated by Coin98 Labs, Kyros Ventures, Coin68 Media and 3twelve Capital, Ancient8 intends to create a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). The organization has created a community and software platform where everyone can entertain and participate in the creation of metaversms, while receiving rewards for focusing on Solana eco-projects. As the largest blockchain game guild and community-centric platform in Vietnam, Ancient8 is committed to meeting community needs through its decentralized Ancient8 Community Alliance (ACA) and its global community partners, including MarginATM, TCVN, and AstroV, to popularize blockchain knowledge, playable Play to Earn games, and provide core meta-universe products to the mass market.

As more blockchain games roll out, Ancient8 will continue to increase its game coverage, especially within the Solana ecosystem, providing more opportunities for community members to improve social and play-earning opportunities in the metaverse. Starting from the Vietnamese market, Ancient8 also plans to expand its user base to the whole of Southeast Asia in the near future.
