In order to learn the spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea and deeply understand the connotation of the spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, on January 11, the social practice team of the School of Pharmacy of Liaocheng University held a social practice activity with the theme of "Chasing Red Memory and Passing on the Red Spirit" in the Bayi community.
The team members first contacted the person in charge of the Bayi community to learn more about the veterans, and then visited Liu Mingye, a veteran of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, with the Bayi community staff, and listened to the old man talk about his experience in joining the army and his expectations for the youth. By listening to the battlefield experience of the elderly, the team members deeply realized the cruelty of war and the hard-won success of the era of peace.
In the process of narration, the old man sighed, "On the battlefield, anyone who wants to retreat is rushing forward." The team members were shocked by the spirit of the warriors to go forward bravely and put their homeland first. Subsequently, the old man proudly showed us his commemorative medals of "50 years of glorious service in the party" and "70th anniversary of the Chinese Volunteer Army's war to resist the United States and aid Korea."
The elderly Liu Mingye said, "Thank you for not forgetting me" and "The current living conditions are too good", and gave the team members the earnest entrustment of "always listening to the party and following the party". All the team members were touched by the enthusiasm of the elderly for the party. Finally, the team members took a group photo with the elderly, and the event ended successfully.
